Higa Model Boarding School Celebrates Graduation of Grade 12 Class

Higa Model Boarding School officially graduated 99 Grade 12 students for the 2018 academic year during a colorful ceremony. The school educated a total of 377 students from Grades 9 through 12 this year, continuing its mission to produce nationally competitive scholars.

Key officials at the ceremony praised the institution's ongoing impact:

  • Kembata Zone Education Department Representative, Mr. Adnew Lolamo, commended the school for maintaining educational excellence, noting the zone's strong 97.4% average result this year, and encouraged graduates to sustain their academic success at the university level.
  • Kembata People's Development Association Executive Director, Mr. Desalegn Lambebo, reaffirmed the commitment to working with stakeholders to keep Higa a center of excellence, reminding the community to actively support the school as its primary funding source.
  • Higa School Manager, Mr. Kassa Sodeno, highlighted the school's high academic and character standards, as well as promising supporting initiatives in campus agriculture and poultry farming. He also emphasized the essential role parents, teachers, and local government played in reaching this milestone.
